So a way to save money!
Make your own Wedding Cake. Brides I don't mean you make it, have a creative member of your wedding make it (In lieu of a gift perhaps!)
This is a cake that I made for a friends wedding. It's white cake with a raspberry cream filling and a white chocolate buttercream frosting. It cost me about $50 dollars, 200 dollars less then the cheapest wedding cake I've seen.
The flower garland connected with florist wire and green florist tape. It's super easy!
On a side note: Although it's a great tradition I highly suggest that you don't save your cake for your 1 year anniversary. When my sister did it turned into a soggy mess hidden in fondant after thawing out. Not the memory you should have of your wedding cake.
